What we do

Most of our work is occupational therapy assessment at home, much of it for NHS Continuing Healthcare. Our physiotherapists help people keep moving at home, and we run hands-on moving and handling training so the people doing the care can do it safely.

Occupational therapy assessments

An occupational therapist visits, assesses the person and their home, and writes clear recommendations that families, funders and care teams can act on.

Our physiotherapists, Anna and Amesh, visit people at home to help them stay as mobile and independent as possible.

Enfield Council, Adult Social Care · 2025 to 2026

Enfield Optimal Care Project

Enfield asked us to review care packages where two carers were visiting together, and to find out where one carer could do the job safely with the right equipment, technique and training.

Our occupational therapists and physiotherapists assessed each person at home, recommended and set up equipment such as slide sheets, standing aids and hoists, trained the carers involved, and came back at four and twelve weeks to check the new plan was working.

How an assessment works

  1. Get in touch

    Tell us about the person and what's worrying you, or send a referral from your organisation.

  2. We visit

    An occupational therapist spends one to two hours with the person at home, with family or carers there if that helps.

  3. You get the report

    A detailed report with our findings and recommendations for equipment, adaptations and support.

  4. Follow-up if needed

    A second visit to trial or check equipment once it's in place.

Paying privately

Initial assessment from £350
One to two hours at home, plus a written report.
Follow-up visit from £150
Only if needed, for example to trial or review equipment.
Physiotherapy session from £100
Up to an hour at home.
Bespoke complex OT assessment Price on request
For more complex cases, such as visits over an hour's travel away or assessments for a Disabled Facilities Grant. Ask us for a quote.

The final price depends on how complex the person's needs are. Tell us a little about them and we'll confirm the price, then book the visit with you.

Payment is due 48 hours before the visit.

Common questions

What happens during the assessment?

We meet the person, and family where it helps, to talk about daily routines and what's difficult. Where it's safe, we watch how they move around the home. Afterwards you get a detailed report with our recommendations.

Is their current equipment still safe?

This is one of the most common reasons we're asked to visit. Needs change, people gain or lose weight, and equipment ages. We check it against how the person is now and recommend repairs, replacements or something different.

Can you write a report for a rehousing application?

Yes. We assess how the current home meets the person's needs and write a report you can submit with the application.

Can you assess someone before they move home?

Yes. We can see the person where they are now, then visit the new property to check what's needed before they move.

Do you offer physiotherapy at home?

Yes. Our physiotherapists visit people at home for exercise and mobility sessions, including carrying out a programme set by the hospital or another therapist. Send us the programme and we'll confirm we can help.

Do you arrange the equipment as well?

We specify exactly what's needed, order it through the local equipment service where we can, and can show carers how to use it once it arrives.

Can family carers come to training?

Yes. We run induction and refresher sessions specifically for family and informal carers.
